***Note: we have changed the location of this hike due to the ongoing government shutdown. Black Canyon of the Gunnison NPS staff is not currently conducting guided snowshoe tours. See alternate location details below!***

Winter has enveloped the Western Slope – our familiar landscape now sparkles and shines with new fallen snow. While unquestionably beautiful, all the snow can make it tough to get out and explore our #PublicLands.

On Saturday, January 26th, WSCC is heading up to Erickson Springs to explore wintertime Dark Canyon! Bring your snowshoes, nice warm layers, some sustenance, and head our for a great day enjoying a snowy forest.

Meet: Sat, Jan. 26 /10:00 AM @ WSCC office
Where: Dark Canyon Trail @ Erickson Springs
What: 2 to 3 mile snowshoe, we will be back to  Paonia around 3:00PM.
What to Bring: Snowshoes, layers, food & water.

E-mail holly@theconservationcenter.org to RSVP.
