By WSCC 5 years ago

WSCC is partnering with Bureau of Reclamation, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Tom Grant of the Gunnison Wet Meadows Project, ERO Resources, and Fruitland Mesa Irrigation Company to help implement the Habitat Replacement Plan at Gould Reservoir in Crawford.  Join us on September 18, 8am – 4pm to learn about the Habitat Replacement project, and help install Zeedyk rock and log structures to reduce erosion and improve soil hydrology.

8am-10am:    History of the Project and Field Based lesson

10am-12pm:  Rock and Log structure install

12pm-1pm:  Complementary Lunch

1pm-4pm:    Rock and Log structure install

If you are the kind of person that likes to get their hands dirty and learn by doing, then please come! This will be a good opportunity to learn on the ground methods for implementing habitat plans.
We will provide lunch, water, and snacks.  Please wear closed toe shoes and appropriate clothing for field work.

RSVP to Jake or [email protected] for Lunch and more information.  Or reach us by phone:  970-527-5307
