Location of a proposed multi-well drill pad near Little Henderson Creek
Due to pressure from local conservation groups, this summer the USFS withdrew the approval of the 11-90-9 well, located near Little Henderson Creek in the Mesa-Uncompahgre-Gunnison National Forest. Click here for a copy of the USFS Scoping Letter and the Surface Use Plan of Operations.
The Conservation Center visited this project site last fall. We signed on to a comment letter requesting the USFS to analyze the project with an EA, not a Categorical Exclusion, that evaluates the direct, indirect and cumulative impacts of the proposal, including alternative locations for the wells and infrastructure.Categories:
