Dates: Friday, August 19th, 8 AM to 4 PM

Location: The old Hay Park timber sale. This is off of Forest Service Road 129, best accessed from Forest Service Road 121 (Trickel Park Road), or from Forest Service Road 123 (Old Grand Mesa Road). I’ve attached a map of the project area as well as a Grand Valley Motor Vehicle Use map to this email. I think this link should get you roughly there: https://goo.gl/maps/SEHSoZLmXHyNuPAq6

Time: 8 AM to 4 PM with a lunch break

In continuing with our tree planting projects of 2021, WSCC is excited to announce a tree planting stewardship day on the Grand Mesa on Friday, August 19th. In coordination with the National Forest Foundation, US Forest Service, and Seek Outside, participants will join us planting trees in an old timber sale on Grand Mesa. Activities will include using a tree planting tool to plant young trees in the forest in areas where logging has taken place. Last year, volunteers planted over 900 trees!

WSCC and the USFS will provide all tools necessary, but please be prepared to bring lunch and water for yourself for the day. We will also be carpooling up to the work site, so please be in touch if you need a ride!
