Spring is in the air and one of our favorite events is right around the corner! The Western Slope Conservation Center will host its 7th Annual Conservation Days on Thursday, April 26th and Friday, April 27th. Every spring WSCC welcomes all Delta County 4th graders to experience outdoor and conservation education at the Paonia River Park. WSCC ensures that the event comes at no cost to the schools or kids. Partners from the USGS, US Forest Service, Audubon Society, SEI, West Elk Mountain Rescue, and more set up unique education stations through which kids rotate and learn about various aspects of conservation and outdoor safety.
We are looking for volunteers to assist in running stations, herding kids, and answering lots of questions! If you are able to help out with this extremely fun event please contact Patrick Dooling, Associate Director at 970-527-5307 ext. 203
Again, this year’s event is on Thursday, April 26th and Friday, April 27th. Hope to see you there!
