Make an impact on the public lands you love!

Volunteer with WSCC and the USFS — Paonia Ranger District on Friday, June 26, Saturday, June 27, and/or Saturday, July 11 as we work to improve trails in the Gunnison National Forest near Kebler Pass. With your help, our volunteer trail crew will be performing basic trail maintenance activities such as brushing, lopping, and removing small trees.
Thanks to support from the Heritage Foundation Round Up Riders of the Rockies, WSCC will be providing meals, snacks, and refreshments. Volunteers will need to bring personal items such as gloves, work clothes, and sturdy shoes; WSCC and the USFS will provide tools and other necessary items.
All ages and abilities are encouraged to join (including children), but there will be three to four miles of hiking on each of the volunteer days, some of which will be strenuous. Dogs are also welcome, but must be well behaved and responsive to voice command.
Here’s your opportunity to make an impact on the public lands we all hold so dear and that make living in western Colorado such a special experience. Recruit your friends and bring a neighbor, this is a fantastic opportunity to spend some time in the mountains with great company, enhancing the lands we love.
