Dark Canyon Trail Work Day

WSCC announces 2nd Summer Trail Work Day

Saturday, August 4th at Dark Canyon Trail.

WSCC is getting out on the trail! Join us and the U.S. Forest Service for a day of trail work at Dark Canyon Trail.  Volunteers and Forest Service staff will be brushing – removing plants encroaching plants – a few miles of the trail along Anthracite Creek. Serviceberries, thimbleberries, raspberries, and currants are all plentiful along the trail – yum!

Wear long pants and protective closed-toes shoes. Bring water, a hat, sunscreen, and a swimsuit if you like (we will be working right alongside Anthracite Creek the entire day). Lunch is provided to all volunteers who RSVP!

We will meet at 8:00AM at the Forest Service office in Paonia to grab tools and carpool to Erickson Springs.

Sign up HERE by August 1st to reserve a lunch.

For questions or to reserve your spot, contact Holly.
