Riparian Habitat Restoration and Tree Planting Volunteer Day – May 17
The Western Slope Conservation Center is working on a riparian habitat restoration project with the North Delta Ditch company along the Uncompahgre River south of Delta. We are looking for volunteers to help plant small trees on May 17 from 9am – 3pm. We’ll take a tour of the habitat mitigation site and learn about ditch piping and habitat mitigation projects across the western slope.
We will meet at 9am at City Market in Delta and carpool to the site. Feel free to email Jake Hartter, Watershed Coordinator, to learn more, or give us a call at 970-527-5307.
