*REGISTRATION IS FULL. Please consider joining us for our FREE afternoon festival*

Overview

The Conservation Center is excited to announce that our 17th Annual Float Fest will be held on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017! Each year, we work hard to recruit boat captains and conservation experts to take floaters down the river on a fun-filled adventure to help raise funds for our watershed work. This year’s float starts at the Paonia River Park and ends at the Delta County Fairgrounds in Hotchkiss. All floaters will be shuttled back to the Paonia River Park for an afternoon of celebration. The festival is free to the community with live music, a silent auction, games, vendors, and more. Lunch can be purchased by all festival-goers for $10 from Delicious Orchards. Dress to impress because we are celebrating our 40th anniversary as superheroes!

The float has class I and II rapids, so be prepared to get a little wet!

The float requires registration but the festival is FREE to the community. Tickets sell out quickly for the float, so register today!

Why Should You Join Us?

The Float Fest is a unique opportunity to spend a day on the North Fork of the Gunnison River with friends and family. You can sit back, relax, and enjoy a beautiful trip down the river while learning about the river’s history, the Western Slope Conservation Center, and the Paonia River Park. The festival after the float is a great way to enjoy the afternoon while you explore the Paonia River Park and spend time with family and friends. This would be the perfect time to check out our new 1-mile loop trail if you haven’t already!
