Join WSCC and the USFS Paonia Ranger District as we head out to to one of our beloved trails in the Gunnison National Forest, bordering the West Elk Wildneress area just off of Kebler Pass. With your help, we will be working to install a turnpike on the Beckwith Pass Trail, as well as improve trail drainage and stream crossings.
Join us Thursday, July 24th and/or Friday, July 25th as we hike up near Lost Lake and the West Elks Wilderness boundary. Thanks to support from the Heritage Trails Foundation of Roundup Riders of the Rockies, WSCC will be providing all meals and refreshments for volunteers. Join us for optional overnight camping and dinner at Horse Ranch Park on Thursday night, or join us for part of the time on Friday!
It’s a great way to get out into the mountains for a good cause and to give back to our public lands. You provide your own work clothes, gloves, water and we’ll provide the tools and sustenance.
Come and pitch in for all or part of the time. Hiking is involved, but trail work will vary from heavy lifting to lighter brushing/trimming work. Sign up to participate here!
